Jefferson, Washington, writes to Messrs. Eddy, Russell, Thurber, Wheaton, & Smith, Providence, R.I. aknowledging their congratulations on his election, and commenting that the Constitution will be administered as originally conceived. The collection also contains correspondence of the donor regarding Samuel Eddy, his daughter Anna Eddy Richmond, and the Richmond family.
